Question 1

What is included in the charter price?

Accepted Answer

Your bareboat charter price includes the boat, fuel for the standard route, and standard onboard amenities. A referral list of licensed USCG captains is available for you to hire separately. A $500 non-refundable deposit reserves your date. Captain gratuity is not included.

Question 2

What is not included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Food, beverages, decorations, optional add-ons, and captain gratuity are not included unless arranged in advance. You can bring your own food and drinks, but please avoid glass containers.

Question 3

What is your deposit and cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. If you need to cancel, contact us as early as possible and we will do our best to reschedule, subject to availability.

Question 4

What happens if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

The captain makes the final weather call on the day of the trip. If wind, lightning, or sea conditions make the charter unsafe, we will first try to reschedule at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible, any amounts paid beyond the $500 deposit will be refunded in full. Light rain, cloud cover, or personal weather preferences are not considered unsafe weather.

Question 5

What should we bring on board?

Accepted Answer

Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, towels, and a change of clothes. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks, including alcohol, unless otherwise arranged. No glass containers on most boats; the captain will confirm any vessel-specific restrictions.

Question 6

Is a captain provided? Do I tip?

Accepted Answer

Every charter is a bareboat charter — you rent the boat and hire a licensed USCG captain independently from our referral list. You choose and pay the captain directly. Captain gratuity is at your discretion; many groups tip 15–20% when they are happy with the service.

Question 7

How many guests can I bring?

Accepted Answer

Thirteen people, including you — that is the limit on every boat, whatever its length. Over thirteen, the usual answer is a second boat leaving at the same time. Tell us the group size and we will tell you which boats fit.

Question 8

How do I book a charter?

Accepted Answer

On the site or in the app: pick the boat, the day, how many hours and the exact start time, then pay the $500 deposit. The date is confirmed the moment it clears. Two to six hours, starting any hour of the day or night. If you would rather talk it through, text or call.

Question 9

Is the charter safe?

Accepted Answer

Every trip starts with a safety briefing, and the captain can change the route or timing if weather or water conditions shift. Life jackets and required safety equipment are on board, and guests must follow captain instructions while underway.

Question 10

Can I bring my own music?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The boats include Bluetooth speakers or an auxiliary input. Bring your playlist and the captain will help you connect once everyone is settled on board.
